Find a quiet spot and sit comfortably.
Step 1
Take a nice, slow, deep breath out and exhale completely until your lungs are emptied.
Step 2
Then breath in slowly and deeply for a count of 4, until you can’t inhale anymore.
Step 3
Now calmly hold onto that breath for a count of 7.
Step 4
Then exhale for a slow count of 8, breathing out every last drop of air, until you can exhale no more.
Now – just how relaxed are you feeling right now?
That’s a wonderful breathing exercise to incorporate into your daily routine and especially when you’re going through a particularly stressful time.
