Your Eco-Friendly Non-Toxic Home
Before we delve into the depths of “Your Eco-Friendly Non-Toxic Home” – did you manage to read “Healthy Home” which was on the top of the Navigation Bar as you arrived on my site?
If not, no worries, here’s the quick link : https://enjoyagreatlife.com/your-healthy-home/
I would suggest, it’s good to read that page first before this one, then come back here. Just wanted to make sure you’ve not missed it, as there’s some info’ on that page you can use now.
You’ve read it already?
Ok, great.
We’re back on track then – let’s talk about your eco-friendly, non-toxic home ….
What’s Lurking In Your Household Cleaning Products?
You may already be making a real effort to “treat your body like a temple” by focusing on healthy, organic, pesticide free food and non-toxic personal care products.
But what about “treating your home like a temple” by using greener home cleaning products?
Have you scrutinised the products in your kitchen cabinets lately?
It’s certainly worth digging your magnifying glass out and having a peer closely at the labels on the bottles, boxes and canisters.
Do any of them say “hazardous to humans and domestic animals”?
Or “WARNING! Do not mix with other products. May release dangerous gases”?
So why would anyone want to use those kinds of hazardous products?
Maybe they’re not aware of the dangers and what kinds of alternatives are readily available.
They could be products that you spray, wipe and scrub with all over your home, in places where you and your family live and sleep everyday.
These potentially dangerous chemicals could be making their way into your body – by you breathing them in, or via your hand-to-eye or hand-to-mouth contact.
This is especially true for young children who crawl and explore with their hands.
Unbelievably, some of the ingredients that aren’t listed on the label can be toxic, even when used according to the directions.
The need for eco-friendly products couldn’t be greater ….
But Where Can You Buy Safe Non-Toxic Cleaning Products?
Some supermarkets – but not all – stock a small range of eco-friendly products.
But, what if you’re keen to switch to safe, non-toxic cleaning products, but you’ve no clue where to find them?
Aha – Big Green Smile to the rescue!
For all your environmentally-friendly, non-toxic cleaning products needs, I highly recommend “The Big Green Smile” as your “One Stop Shop”.

88% of People Who Saw ‘Blue Planet II’ Changed Their Lifestyle
We have so much to thank David Attenborough for.
The BBC programme “Blue Planet” highlighted humanity’s impact on the oceans and the growing problem of plastic pollution.
The final episode of the BBC’s Blue Planet II has been widely heralded as a key moment sparking the war on plastics.
And new research has shown that an incredible 88% of people who watched the programme have since changed their behaviour as a result.
Half of these people said they had “drastically changed” their behaviour, and half said they had “somewhat changed” it.
So How Can We Do OUR Bit For The Planet?
Make a start today and TAKE ACTION with these simple steps ….
- choosing environmentally-friendly, non-toxic cleaning products.
- giving up on single-use plastic bags and opt for re-usable shopping bags instead.

- use cloth towels instead of paper ones.
- When you need to use paper, make sure it’s 100% post-consumer recycled paper.
- Buy local food to reduce the distance from farm to fork. Buy straight from the farm, frequent your local farmers’ market, or join a local food co-op.
- Take a shorter shower and use a water-saving shower head.
- Install solar panels on your roof.

- Teleconference from home instead of travelling.
- Collect used printer, fax, and copier cartridges to recycle.
- Use reusable bottles for water, and reusable mugs for coffee.

- Run your dishwasher only when it’s full to save water and energy.
- Move your heater thermostat down two degrees in winter and up two degrees in the summer to reduce your carbon footprint by 2,000 pounds.
